Worst experience I've ever had.Booked a VW Caddy online only to be told it was already on hire.I was offered a Renault Kangoo instead. Turned up on the day to be told the Renault Kangoo is already on hire too.I was then offered a VW Transporter as the only option. At this point I should have walked away.I accepted the Transporter (it was 8am, dark and raining) travelled to the local tip with some rubble sacks and returned the van to County's depo a couple of hours later.At this point I was informed that there was a small crack at the top of the windscreen and I would have to pay for it.Having covered 16 miles, using 5.08 of diesel, and only loading sacks via the back doors, it stinks of a con from start to finish.My fellow tradesmen are aware of the whole ordeal as it has cost me 672.26. Avoid this place!After seeking legal advice... Double check your contract there is a box to sign that turns down your right to pay a waive fee (never offered to me)This leaves you open to 1000 in charges for any kind of damage or theft regardless of any extra you pay for reduced insurance excess or extra cover on offer.Hire firms pay membership to the BVRLA and they can not help you after documents have been signed for.
Excellent service and car. I returned the car right on closing time on a Friday night. I was quite prepared to return on Saturday morning to complete the admin side of the return, but staff 'went the extra mile' and booked me out and did the inspection even though it was so late. Really appreciated!
Fantastic van rental co. Staff could not have been more helpful. Almost new van, much nicer than I have rented from elsewhere in the past. Very good value. Will definitely be back.
