Needed to hire a Mercedes V Class and most rental companies couldn't confirm it would be that actual model - just something similar. Staff at the Stockport branch said they would be able to confirm the vehicle once they had located one at another branch. Two days before picking up the vehicle, they confirmed it would be ready as agreed. Collection went very smoothly and staff were very friendly and helpful. First class service.
Bad was very poor
We have looking to hire a Mercedes SLK to see if it is suitable for us, the problem is that car hire companies SAY they hire out SLK's BUT they won't guarantee that is what you will end up with getting , just a car of that style.I don't want a TT or Z4 as I want a car with a metal removable roof My wife found the AMT website but unfortunately at the time they didn't have any available as they were out on long term lease. We left it a while even had a test drive of a MERCEDES SLC which was great but as with all test drives it was too short (8 miles max) which gives you a taste just not far enough.I rang AMT and spoke to Sarah who said they had a SLK in she told us the price for a days hire, a very keen price with 200 miles allowance and took all my details to save time later.My wife and I arrived at 9am two days later Sarah was there very professional and all my details were filled in ready just had to take copies of my passport, driving documents and utility bills and was really surprised as the rental was 20% CHEAPER than the quote, she thought it was because we were returning it back that evening (the only minus point is AMT take a deposit of 1000 which does go out of your account) at the time of booking.We were taken down to meet Simon who showed us around the car and all the dings that it had (all small marks) which were marked on the crib sheet, so long as we didn't add to the tally we would get our 1000 back.The car was fully spec heated leather seats with airscarf, sat nav, night pack and the car was freshly valetedWe had a wonderful day, it was all I hoped it would be a drive up to Skipton and then with the roof down a drive around the Dales and then a nice lunch and back to the depot. My wife admits that it was my dream to drive the SLK but she really enjoyed the car too so much so that when we got back to the depot she asked Simon if it was for sale. He checked around the car and signed it off as having no damage done in the day.He then showed us the other cars they rent out Maserati, Audi Range Rover BMW I8 a great selection, everyone we came in contact with were smiling and friendly. We wouldn't hesitate to hire from them again ............the BMW I8 looked very tasty
I recently went for a Job Interview, where I felt more than confident, 6 weeks later, I haven't heard a peep I can only presume Ignorance or Bad Management.
