Love this place, food always delicious and I highly recommend the cakes. Nice to fit it in around a walk.
My dad used to take me fishing here 30 years ago,it was the best fishing place around back then and was full of fish.I would easily catch 15 or more fish every visit.I know this is not the case anymore but i will say its a good place to go for a walk around and have a drink at the cafe.Take the kids for some fresh air and a walk.You can feed the ducks and there is a nice walk along the river under the bridge also.Well worth a visit to get out of the house for a while.

A nice place to stop for lunch and a quick stroll around the lakes. We ordered tea, sandwiches and ploughman's lunches which were all delicious. The lake has plenty of ducks and geese plus a few cormorants and even a heron!
We had hot drinks. Fantastic setting. Very friendly and chatty staff.
