Its a decent park with good facilities. Like most other parks. Nothing to complain about

Fantastic park and there is a little group which is normally held every other Friday where the children can enjoy lots of activitys and a bouncy castle .. normally a making activity such as homemade lasagne and flapjack decorating biscuits really friendly while parents can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee that did a small charge for the group of 1.50 bit it starts at 12.30 and runs until 2.30 children are also served a health lunch whilst there ... the hut also does other things on other days I no it's a cafe on a Tuesday morning where u can get a small bite to eat of a full English breakfast for a small charge all staff and volunteers are really friendly and welcoming and the children love the park just outside .

My children have been coming to this park for years and we find it a perfect little evening walk on quiet nights. The sunsets and sunrises from the right angels on this park are amazing, so its definitely worth trying to see them. Plenty of space and facilities for children such as a play area and basketball courts, bowling greens, plenty of benches and some wonderful views of Stockport.

Ive seen the changes in Stockport, born in Heaton Norris in Florence st a place that no longer exist, facing the recreation ground, as a teen over 60yrs ago had my first taste of beer my first taste of love and annoyed and terrorised the local dogs on my motorcycle, I attended St Marys on the edge of the rec spent hours pretending to camp, light fires and gently grew in those post war years until like fledgling we all someday fly away, I went off to seeking my fortune only to return to the other side of the rec Church Rd, this was the first home we bought a long time ago this was a step up it had a bay window very posh, so back to my roots again this time walking my dog on the rec was and probably still is a local custom. As I built my empire after a good few years (13) Ive been told, the family moved on to greater things my daughter spent most of her formative life on The rec she could play there safe with her friends (she attended Christ Church) in the early 70s , Ive now moved on again this time to Cumbria my lovely Lake District, But I cant cut the ties that bind me to Heaton Norris my siblings still live and work in Stockport so I often return to have a long look at the rec and remember the times long gone, because Im not there all the time I see differences each and every time Ive returned, the council in their wisdom seems to have changed things for the worse, perhaps not, just me remembering what you call the good old days, thanks born in Heaton Norris made in the wide world Mike Lavin

Its a park with some nice sized playing fields a playground, some basketball/ football courts and a bowling green. Always seems clean and it usually quite. Good it you fancy a quite walk.
