Visited with some friends on 31st December between 15.00 - 18.30.Bar manager was very rude, complained to both myself and a friend for ordering at the top end of the bar, said he was wasting his time, by walking to us....! Sorry, if we inconvenienced you by spending our money buying drinks at the bar??? (Approx 160 during our visit)Also moaned when we were leaving, that we had moved a few extra chairs to our table. Finally accused one of our party of being drunk, which I would like to point out they were not. I wonder why people like that actually work in the service industry when they obviously have no people skills.
Great pub, pretty steep prices though for some of the ales. Family oriented at times, and live footy of late. Good outdoor area in the summer.
Friendly and warm pub serving good grub. Plenty of parking and events etc here. Menu could be better and a bit more child friendly but overall a decent, welcoming pub.
Often go there for a drink but this is the first time I have had lunch there for many years. Three of us had the "Yorkie" which was steak, chicken or vegetables wrapped in a Yorkshire pudding type batter. This was so chewy we all left most of it so I would not recommend that meal to anyone. On the other hand my wife had the Hunters Chicken and she said that it was delicious. Service good as is the choice of beers.
Lively atmosphere on the Friday night. Great choice of beers and spirits. We were there for a function and the buffet was excellent - hot and very tasty. Outdoor seating, some undercover. Good size car park for the duty drivers!
