Went to the Alma Lodge for Sunday lunch very nice but could of been a bit more hotter. Staff very attentive. Yes I would say I would go back.
Clean comfy room. Reception staff friendly. Good price. Breakfast staff excellent too early for cooked breakfast had continental, although they offered to bring cooked breakfast early 10 out 10 to them
We had a great meal for our Mum's 80th birthday at the hotel last night. The food and setting were great. One main meal, the chicken, was significantly delayed arriving as the rest of the table were halfway through their main course. The coffee served at the end of the meal was cold but was replaced with fresh hot coffee very quickly after we told the waiting staff. Unfortunately there were two weddings in function rooms with very loud music at each end of the ground floor. This made it difficult to talk to the rest of our group in the bar after the meal and also to sleep once we had gone to bed.However, the staff, accommodation and food were good.
Was here to celebrate a round birthday, staff are all student and although okay you can tell they are just there to earn a little money whilst on a break. Over prices beers with very little choice. I'm sure that there are much better venues in the area
Went for Christmas lunch. Lovely atmosphere, good hot food, very efficiently served with lots of festive extras. Great value for money.
