Fantastic place to visit on a cold rainy day. Excellent exhibitions with some superb recollections and pictures along with a device that gave more information as you went along. Very helpful staff to who where very friendly and polite. Well worth a visit.
Amazing extent, well displayed and excellent easy to use audio guide with good detail. Real gem was initial introduction by Roger. Well worth the visit and will return for evening extended tour.
Really entertaining and informative. I've done 3 of the Stockport museums now and the standard is staggeringly high. Well done
Interested to learn about Britain's past and what life was like during WW2 and how local people came here to stay safe during air raids. Very informative and thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Would come back and visit again friendly staff at the museum and can go around at your own leisure on the self guided tour. The air raid shelters were dug out of sandstone and could accommodate upto 4500 people so can imagine what it was like when people took refuge here.
Really interesting and fascinating trip back in time. Would highly recommend a visit for all ages. Daughters aged 9 and 6 enjoyed themselves!
