It was a special event (Print Fair), in addition to the usual exhibits. Demonstrations of various forms of printing, as well as sale of beautiful artefacts, made the visit most enjoyable. May there be many more such!
little step back to the Hatting industry. 3 floors, lift available. Children's activities on the middle floor with hats to dress up in and story books and sensory play. Diverse range of exhibits and a lovely bit of history into the Hatting industry. A sweet little gift shop at the entrance. There did seem to be a cafe but it was shut whilst we visited. All in all a lovely visit.
Great venue for our WI outing. Totally accessible by mobility scooter. Great little hat museum. Our guide, Roger, was enthusiastic and informative. We learnt so much about hat making and felting. I never even thought about what felt was made from ! The Hat Works museum was so interesting !
Fantastic museum and highly recommended. The museum was highly informative and the hat gallery was beautiful - especially enjoyed the interactive area where you could try on the hats! There was also a really nice small shop, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful..
Wonderful and very interesting staff. The staff are very helpful and our guide had great knowledge on the factories, the methods, the history everything. He was just brilliant. It was very good. Wheelchair lift, restroom, play areas for kids, hat trying one area, movies to watch and audio to listen to. It is very well worth the visit and good value for money.
