Called up last minute, in a flap, for some non festive flowers to mark the first anniversary of my fathers death. Although they were extremely busy and what I wanted wasnt in stock, Victoria ordered some in and created a perfect basket of tte-a-tte daffodils, when she could easily have said she wouldnt have been able to help. Thank you so much!
Called up on the 22nd of December to place a phone order. I always ask if a florist is an independent shop or a national chain, as I like to support local business whenever possible. What an earful I got from the lady on the phone. How dare I call up on the busiest day of the year, I was ignorant and she promptly hung up on me without allowing me to explain. I did call back to explain why I ask if the shop was an independent florist, and also how disappointed I was in how the call was handled , and that they had lost this and any future orders from me. I called Mary's Flower Basket, asked the same question and was dealt with promptly and professionally. This time of year is very busy and stressful for most retail businesses, but this is no excuse to forget common curtosy and manners. My 4 year old daughter was listening to the call and asked me afterwards why the lady diddnt want to talk to her daddy...
Blue Door did the funeral spray for my mother's coffin. They were friendly, compassionate, knowledgeable and helpful. The flowers were really beautiful. And for a small cost they divided the spray into 3 baskets for my Dad, my sister and myself directly after the service. A beautiful memorial to continue to remember my mum by! Thoroughly recommend!
