I tried to book an appointment for my elderly grandmother who had been suffering from a sore throat and cough for almost two weeks. The first time I called I got told to call back the next morning as there were no appointments left which was fair enough. The next morning I rang at 8am and the receptionist told me there are no appointments until NEXT MONTH and that the doctor won't see her over a sore throat as it wasn't serious enough! I explained that my grandmother has tried to self-medicate but she hasn't improved. I am aware a sore throat and cough isn't classed as serious to the average healthy man but when you are old with a poor immune system who is struggling to sleep due to the illness i think she has a right to be taken care of. Since when do patients have to reach death's door to be seen by the GP? She was very rude with a very snappy attitude and i even questioned wether i phoned the right practice as I never heard of a surgery that doesn't offer gp appointments during the week! Not happy at all and feel very let down.

Doctors are really helpful. Under resourced and some rather inefficient management practices sadly. No parking. Reception can be lovely sometimes and then a bit grumpy at others.
If I could give no stars then I would. You can never seem to get an appointment for the doctor when you need one but have to wait weeks and really the same goes for the nurse. Never any appointments on the system think they need to go back to pen and paper or get a better computer system.
I have been with this doctors for 8 years and all they have ever done is fob me off, be rude and refuse to see me. Worst doctors ever, if you move round here please find a better doctors.
