I have used universal granite several times now. Most recently was for our new kitchen.Being extremely picky I always want something that no-one else has got and like to push the limits of what is possible and what can be done with a material. For this project I dealt with Paul and he sat down with me and went through what we wanted and designed a bespoke solution.They then sent their team over to survey the site and template the kitchen to make sure everything would go smoothly.They arranged import of the material for me and gave me a installation date. On installation day they arrived on time, and everything was fitted, installed, and cleaned up in the same day.From the first meeting to the final handshake at the end an impeccable service. Kitchen almost finished , just a bit of skirting board left to do universal granite have done a brilliant job and the island looks fabulous, my favourite love island . Excellent service from everyone at universal granite from the the initial ideas to the fitting and the finished templated product - the whole thing was relatively painless. We have just completed a ground floor home extension which included a new kitchen.The granite worktops are one of the elements that has our 100% satisfactionUniversal Granite was chosen after visiting their showroom in Stockport.They have a large display of full kitchen designs of very high quality to show the granite variations and options.Staff are very knowledgeable and Nina was able to provide an outline price very quickly without any high pressure selling.On our second visit, we were shown into the warehouse where some new slab stock had arrived.A particular panel that caught our eye was lifted out for a closer look and we decided that was it!A guy came to measure up the base units and made up card templates, he was very patient as we worked out some design changes at the breakfast bar and gave us some really good advice explaining the machining options.We were able to position the breakfast bar template on our slab, to feature a natural vein to sweep across the middle of the piece. Again lots of patience from Paul with more technical help as we formed our final decisions.The fitting was quick and to a very high standard, all the joints are well made and the up stands fit really well.The measuring was done at 8am Saturday morning, panels cut over the weekend, installed and finished by the Monday afternoon!Cant fault this experience in any way, we are delighted by the end results and would highly recommend Universal Granite Stockport.Paul and Linda, Marple
Very pleased with their service. Paul gave me full opportunity to select the actual slabs of granite and has given extras out of whatever was left over from the slabs, including window sill, splash back, upstands, side panel of my island, vanity worktop for two bathrooms and there is still more left over that I can use. The fitters completed the job on the day even though they had to stay longer to rectify the errors made by the kitchen fitters.
