I went here to an exhibition last Wednesday afternoon with friends. It was very interesting and I was really impressed with everything. The staff here were very helpful and good. We all had an enjoyable and informative afternoon.
First time I have been here. There is currently a superb exhibition by local photographer entitled a view from the north. Some amazing images.
A beautiful building with a lovely little collection of art. Art featured from local artist, schools and collages. It is only a small collection so it wouldnt take long to tour round but its definitely worth a little tour, they have paintings of local attractions and places in Stockport along with a large memorial inside.
A very neat gallery space, but it is a very small collection that they exhibit. This is a shame, but given the constraints of the building's size, this is understandable. The war memorial part is the truly outstanding piece, and no visit to the town is complete without see it. Magnificent.
