After spending 100s there, at what everyone knows is an over-priced shop, we bought 20 fish to re-stock. They wanted to see the remains of 6 tetras that died within 48 hours of buying them. Explained the shrimp (also from Abyss) clean them up in no time, told nothing they can do. Lost a loyal customer for 6 worth of fish. Will use much cheaper and loyalty-centred shops in future, plenty around.
The only place to go if you need any thing to do with Aquatics. A massive selection of fish, equipment all at the right price. The staff are all excellent, friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. Plus everything is at the right price.
On my first visit to Abyss, I was absolutely astonished by the level and quality of their stock, including the livestock; which is by far the healthiest that I have ever seen. All of the staff are really friendly, in addition to be extremely knowledgeable. I have become a frequent visitor to this store and have had the pleasure of chatting with almost every member of staff. The passion of everyone here is really obvious from the moment you get talking. Rachelle and Bruno have a seemingly boundless knowledge surrounding tropical fish and have both offered their expertise to me over the last month or so, creating the optimum environment in my aquarium.Demi, April and the gent on 'dry goods' have all offered their advice on the correct equipment for my tank, from the selection of industry leading products they have on offer; all have been super helpful and friendly! Jamie has worked tirelessly with my partner and I, especially when we were choosing from their selection of Betta fish and appropriate plants.I have experienced no sales pressure, just sound advice with an exemplary level of customer care and commitment.I cannot recommend this store highly enough.- Macauley Sykes
Extremely helpful Staff, if they don't know the answer to your question they ask someone who does. The fish I've bought have all been healthy. Can be very busy on a weekend.
Abyss has everything and more if your looking to set up either a tropical or marine fish tank. I can't praise the staff enough, whatever piece of equipment you buy they will unpack it and show you step by step how to set it up and work it. I was impressed all round at how knowledgeable they were, I would recommend paying a visit if you're a fishkeeper.
